A 19-year-old skier died under the wheels of a truck during training
Slovenian skier Hana Mazi Jamnik has died in a road accident while training on roller skis in Norway, local publication VG reports.
Yamnik, 19, was hit by a truck in a tunnel while training. According to the lawyer, the driver pleads not guilty.
– So undeserved and senseless … A terrible story. A wake-up call for those who train on busy tracks,” four-time world champion Emil Iversen commented on the tragedy.
Last season, Yamnik finished 24th in the 5K at the Junior World Championships and 10th in the 10K. She was included in the application of the Slovenian national team for the 2022/23 season.
