While there is no guarantee that the good feelings will carry over to the beginning of the Tactical Phase, the truth is that the Pittsburgh Steelers couldn’t have asked for a better preseason: no serious injuries, three wins in three games and above all good performances from their young players.
The latest of those wins came this Sunday, in the final game of the preseason: a 19-9 home win over the Detroit Lionswith another great game of a Mitchell Trubisky which looks like the year will begin key strategistwinning the battle against the rookie Kenny Pickett Already Mason Rudolph.
Trubisky finished the afternoon with 15 of 19 completions, 160 passing yards and a touchdownwithout eavesdropping. Pickett did well too, going 10-14 for 90 yards (no touchdowns or interceptions). Rudolph, meanwhile, missed all three of his attempts in the match.

In Lions there was one Bad game for quarterback Tim Boyle (5 of 15, 64 yards and an interception) and a best performance by David Blough (17 of 32, 160 yards, one touchdown). Justin Jackson (2 receptions, 39 yards) and Amon-Ra St. Brown (3 receptions, 34 yards), stood out between the wide wings of a Detroit that closed the preseason with a 1-2 record.
On the other hand, at the Lions there were more flashes of him great potential and present from number two in the last Draft, Aidan Hutchinsonadding a tackle and half a catch in his few moments on the field.
