Greece 32-28 Netherlands: Great win for the national team, their first in Euro 2024 qualifiers

The men’s national handball team beat the Netherlands 32:28 in the indoor games in Chalkida and celebrated their first win in qualifying for the 2024 European Championship.

Before the start of the game against the Netherlands, everyone in the men’s national handball team camp had their sights set on victory. Zaravina’s players made it, prevailed 32:28 and celebrated their first win in the European Championship qualification 2024.

The game had the character of a derby, in which the blue and white were constantly in front of the goal and the Dutch couldn’t get a big lead.

In fact, it happened quite a few times that the national team took the lead by 2-3 goals and the guests immediately managed to equalize the game.

In the end, with a burst in the final, Zaravina’s players managed not only to claim victory, but also to gain a four-goal lead by 32:28.

Mylonas, Liapis and Toskas each scored five goals for Greece, while Kai Schmitz scored seven for the Netherlands without missing a shot.
