Victories for Olympiakos and AEK, PAOK and Pylaia have been beaten in the European Cup
AEK prevailed against Hurry by 35:30 while Olympiacos defeated Sloboda by 34:24. PAOK and Pylaia were defeated by Sesvet and Krems respectively in the Round of 32 of the EHF European Cup.
The qualifying lead in the 3rd round (round of 32) of the EHF European Cup went to AEK, who beat Beelung Up in OAKA by 35:30. The game was very handballed, beautiful and very fast, with attacks having the first word.
AEK are superior in quality, but met a lot of resistance from the Dutch, who are dangerous and need attention in the second leg next week (5/11, 20:00) in Emmen.
Despite a good start from Union, who led 7-5 through Iliopoulos in the 10th minute, Hebrew Up surprised and took the lead in the 16th minute with a 5-0 run (7-10) and controlled the game until in the 25th minute (13 -15) with Meidemas in the lead.
AEK, led by Madalinics and Chitobi, who scored two goals each, turned the game around and took a 17:15 lead with a 4-0 run in the 28th minute while the half ended 17:16. In the second half the game went goal-to-go, AEK led 1:2 goals and the Dutch were close to the goal.
Everything changed in the 53rd minute when AEK, with two goals from Chitobi, a penalty from Rogulski and a surprise from Zivkovic, got away 31-27 and went on a 4-0 run (up from 27-27 in the 47th). 56′ with Mandalinc reached +5 (34-29), a difference that lasted until the end of the game (35-30).

Olympiakos – Sloboda 34-24
In a formal procedure, Olympiacos turned the case of qualifying for the 3rd round (round of 32) of the EHF European Cup by beating Sloboda 34-24 in the first game between them, which took place in the indoor stadium of Ilioupoli.
The Greek champions stormed in the second half against the Bosnians and with a partial score of 18:10 managed a safety margin of 10 goals, which gives them a big lead before the second leg next Saturday (5/11. 21:00) in the City of Tuzla.
Papadopoulos (8 goals), Niokas (7 goals) and Weber (6 goals) were the best of the Red-Whites, who controlled the game completely from the start, except for a bad spell at the end of the first half when the Bosnians made a contribution 6:0 run turned the 16:8 (24th) into the half-time score of 16:14.
After that, however, the difference in quality and squad was evident as the hosts easily advanced 34-24 to the final.

Sesvet – PAOK 29-24
PAOK were defeated 29-24 in their first game for the second round of the European Cup by Sesvet in Croatia and everything will be decided in the second leg in Thessaloniki next Sunday (6/11).
It could have been much more difficult for Dikefalos, who at 53:40 fell behind 29:20, but reduced the deficit to five goals with a 4:0 run, which was clearly reversible in the second leg.
PAOK had a bad day offensively with a shot rate of 53%, although their goalkeepers had an efficiency rate of 31% compared to the Croatians’ 27%.
Nikolas Koukmisis contributed seven goals for PAOK, with 4/6 shots and 3/4 penalties, while also having three assists.

AESK Pylias – Krems 30-34
AESH Pylaia lost their second game in Austria to UHK Krems 34-30, completing their presence in the European Cup.
The Austrians’ obstacle in the second round of the competition proved insurmountable for the Greek Cup winners. In the first game on Saturday, Krems won 34:25.
