PAOK – AEK 24-24: The derby was a draw, both teams went undefeated
PAOK’s derby against AEK for the handball premier ended without a winner (24:24) in a closed game over the entire duration of the game.
The handball premier derby between PAOK and AEK, which took place on Wednesday September 11th, ended in a 24:24 draw.
The game was tight throughout, with both teams taking turns taking the lead. The first half was quite tense as both teams defense dominated and the score remained low. That proves the 9-9 that ended the first 30 minutes.
In the second half, the two teams went hand in hand until the final. Goals from Eleftheriadis and Rogulski gave AEK a 22-24 lead in the closing stages of the game.
Kavousanakis quickly cut to 23-24, Tsitombi fell to the stairs according to the judges while Koukmisis made the final 24-24.
It is worth noting that AEK has grievances from the arbitration while a union member burst onto the field from the stands and protested loudly to the referees.
