PAOK – Olympiakos 22-26: Red and White Big Doubles
Olympiakos, who had more solutions, beat PAOK 26:22 in Thessaloniki and overtook AEK at the top of the handball premier scoreboard.
Olympiakos was better for most of the game against PAOK, winning 26-22 in a postponed game for the handball premier.
Olympiacos’ defense and pluralism on the one hand and Luka Stojanovic’s injury on the other were decisive for the development of the game. After Seirekidis, Dikefalos also lost Stojanovic, who experienced Achilles tendon pain during the game.
In the game, Olympiakos was in front for most of the match and managed to build a five-goal advantage after Stojanovic’s injury midway through the first half.
Early in the second half, PAOK reacted and took advantage of an Olympiacos deadlock to cut the goal short. At this point, the greatest depth of the score spoke.
Kotanidis came on and made some great moves while Olympiakos found solutions in attack from all their players and eventually won 26-22.
