The European Handball Federation has issued an announcement announcing its decision not to play three matches including that of the women’s national team against Belarus for the 3rd group of the 2nd qualifying phase of EURO 2022.
Analytically:
“The European Handball Federation has taken the following decision, as the current situation and development make it impossible to hold the following games:
-The Men’s EHF Champions League match between HC Meshkov Brest (BLR) and HC Vardar 1961 (MKD) on March 2, 2022 in Brest.
-The matches for the EHF EURO 2022 Women’s qualifiers between Greece and Belarus were originally scheduled for March 2nd in Chalkida and March 6th in Minsk.
All three games will not be played as planned.
The European Handball Federation will continue to deal with the handling of these games and the consequences in a separate procedure.
“The EHF continues to monitor the situation closely to assess the possible need for further decisions.”
