AEK – PAOK 29-20: Union triumphed in the derby and climbed to the top
AEK defeated PAOK at Giorgos Kasimatis in the postponed derby of the 17th game day of the handball premier with 29:20 and climbed to the top of the table.
AEK won the derby with PAOK at Giorgos Kasimatis in a rescheduled game of the 17th game day of the handball premier. Union climbed to the top of the table with the win, beating Olympiacos in third place with PAOK. First place is important for Union because they will have home advantage in the playoffs.
Union dominated for most of the game, playing good defense and producing some nice attacks that resulted in goals.
In the first ten minutes of the second half, PAOK came out stronger, throttling and trying to win the game back, but AEK turned it up and ended up winning by a wide margin.
