The Handball Premier Finals series begins Sunday (5/14) with AEK welcoming Olympiacos to OAKA in the first game of the series.

Olympiacos and AEK have met three times in the league finals, with Olympiacos lifting the title all three times (2017–18, 2018–19, 2021–22).

Testify

AEK coach Alexis Albanos said on the Union’s official website: “After losing a title combined with our poor performance, we all owe it to ourselves, the world and the history of AEK to show a completely different face in a series of games starting at home.”

Olympiakos coach Nikos Grammatikos said the following on the Red and White team’s official website: “It’s a new series of games against AEK, a very good team. We need to get past the final 4 of the cup and the title win and see how we can react better to the championship. We have problems, but we have obligations.” When the game starts, we put them behind us and do our best to reach our goal. We know and expect that AEK will react, but we also have to do what we have to do to react in the series. We’re starting tomorrow at OAKA, and we’re going to go step by step, game by game. The series will be long.”
