Olympiacos – AEK 27-25: They totally dominated and secured a date in the fifth final
In the fourth final of the Handball Premier, Olympiacos got the victory of AEK with 27:25, equalized the series with 2:2 and now the two teams will win the championship on Wednesday (31.5.) in the fifth and last final.
Olympiakos Piraeus drew 2-2 in her final series Handball Premier who defeated AEK 27-25 and now everything will be decided in the fifth and final final of the championship to be played on Wednesday (5/31) at the Union HQ in OAKA, G. Kasimatis.
The game was fairly balanced in the first few minutes. However, Olympiacos took advantage of Matskevics’ dismissal and Papadopoulos restored the lead with a penalty after AEK equalized to equalize 3-3.
Olympiakos Piraeus was dominant throughout the first half and didn’t let Union take the lead. The defensively armed and surprisingly striking Red-Whites took the lead for the first time in the 12th minute with a three-goal difference and were 7:4.
AEK leveled the game in the 21st minute (11-11) but two minutes later another sending off cost them allowing Olympiacos to take the lead again to finish the first half 16-12.
In the second half, Olympiacos took the lead for the first time in the 44th minute with five goals, with four goals in a row AEK choked Piraeus to a score of 24:23.
In the last minute the game picked up momentum and Olympiakos won by 27:25.
