Joint “thank you” from eleven associations to Avgenakis for the money from the bet
In a joint statement, the presidents of eleven associations thanked Lefteris Avgenakis for paying out the money from the income from the taxation of the bet.
Santa Claus came earlier for the associations and amateur clubs after the advance tax receipts were paid.
A total of 31 million euros were donated for the sport, which were distributed according to the criteria set by the State Ministry.
In a joint statement, the presidents of eleven associations thanked Lefteris Avgenakis for paying out the money from the income from the taxation of the bet.
The corresponding announcement in detail: “We welcome and consider the day with the implementation of the initiative of the government and Deputy Minister of Sport Lefteris Avgenakis to pay out 31 million euros as an advance from the bet to the amateur clubs, the amateur teams taking part in European competitions, as well as our national teams through the Sports associations.
Given the difficult situation in which Greek society finds itself, such a strong strengthening of amateur sport in practice underscores the recognition of the importance attached to it by the Greek state, a fact that makes all who serve the sport very happy and proud .
