Handball premiere: AEK and Doukas beat Olympiakos

AEK defeated Diomedis, Doukas defeated Panhellenios and both conquered Olympiacos at the top of the Handball Premier standings.

AEK prevailed in the debut of new coach Dragan Dzukic 25-16 from Diomedes of Argos in the closed Nea Kiou for the 2nd matchday of the Handball Premier.

Until the 30th minute the game was a derby (10:10), but then Union upped the ante and the hosts couldn’t keep up.

With a 4-0 run it was 10:14 (32nd), while Union reached +5 in the 41st minute (12:17), took complete control of the game and easily reached 16:25.

Victory in the 2nd half for Aeropos

With an amazing second half Edessa ManDynamic plane prevailed 32-29 the Ionian Affidea and achieved his first victory in this year’s championship.

The guests led in the first half with 17:16 and a score of 6:1 at 15:11 (25th minute), but the home team responded with a score of 7:1 and a 5-0 run and turned 18: 18 23:18 (43rd). Since then, Kostas Toutsis’ team maintained a margin of safety and achieved victory.

Ofrisenko with 9 goals and Dingeko with 6 goals provided a lot of offensive solutions for Aeropos, while Ionikos Koukoulas was once again the top scorer.

The duke subdued the Panhellenes

ASED’s return to Da’is was accompanied by a victory. THE duke Panhellenic dominated 33-24. The hosts set the pace from the first minutes of the game and led 16:11 at halftime.

With their offensive superiority, they even managed to score 13 goals (30-17, in the 50th minute) and achieved victory, with Panhellenic suffering their second defeat in as many games.

The number 13 jersey was retired

Before the game, ASED organized a veterans game in memory of the great Saša Zibulović, who passed away last February.

At half-time, President Kostis Doukas announced in a modest ceremony the retirement of the number 13 jersey, honoring a great athlete who played for the club and retired early.
