PAOK – AEK 24-29: A comfortable brace for the Union in Mikra
AEK, with a lot of attack, beat PAOK 29:24 in Mikra and reached 3/3 in the Handball Premier.
AEK had absolute control of the game throughout the match, beating PAOK 29-24 in Mikra and making it 3/3 in the Handball Premier.
The Union was pluralistic in attack, Arabatzis and Madalinics scored six goals each, and when PAOK failed, Matskevich was there.
On the other hand, Kalomiiros and Botskarev scored four goals each for PAOK, which struggled with its defense for most of the game.
The match: The game started with a red card in the first 45 seconds. Papazoglou scored a goal, but Sokolic hit him in the face as he tried to defend, prompting the referees to show him a red card.
Not only did PAOK fail to exploit their numerical advantage, but AEK also managed to make a difference. In fact, Union went on a 7-0 run before Kalomiros stopped the run after nine minutes.
The AEK players managed to create a seven-goal difference that lasted until eight minutes before the end of the first quarter.
At this point, PAOK managed to close the gap with a 7:3 run and reach the break at -3 with a score of 14:17 for Union.
In the second 30 minutes, AEK managed to break away with an early goal through Byron Papadopoulos and Mandalinic.
PAOK tried to reduce the difference but could do nothing more as AEK completely controlled the game and took victory with 29-24.
