AEK Handball: “Sorry for failing to meet national targets”
AEK thanked its people for their support while also apologizing for failing to meet national goals after Olympiacos lost the championship.
AEK lost 25:23 against Olympiakos, the Red-Whites made 3:1 in the series of handball premier finals and won the championship. The Union thanked their people for their support this season with an announcement and apologized for the goals not achieved in Greece.
AEK’s announcement in detail:
The management of the handball department of AEK feels compelled to extend a big “thank you” to the fans of our team for their staggering support throughout the season, while at the same time apologizing for the failure to achieve our home goals. We know our mistakes and omissions.
In a season that we must not forget, however, after conquering the historic treble last year, we dared to take AEK to another level in Europe and take part in a very demanding organization for which even more energy and fatal loads are required the existing was required. We know that on this journey there were people who could not live up to the high expectations of AEK and its management.
We have patience, vision and a great thirst to prove this season was a poor bracket to do the same in 2019 and return to the top immediately. Where it suits AEK and its employees.
AEK has proven that it never gives up the fight, no matter how difficult it is. As far as the miserable events of yesterday are concerned, the responsibility lies solely with the Bund and the KED alongside our opponent. The management of our team has the will and the power to make it clear in every direction and in every institution that yesterday’s events were the last time they happened at the expense of AEK. And the wise man I mean.
AEK without thinking twice decided to take his chances, respecting his history, the sport and the performance of the athletes of both teams.
The next day he finds us all the more determined to build a team that will bring smiles to the faces of the ubiquitous United from next season. AEK – HANDBALL FOREVER ONE LIFE…”.
