The 48-year-old hockey player died on the ice during an amateur hockey league match in the Nizhny Novgorod region. It says in the message Ice Hockey Federation of Nizhny Novgorod.

According to Komsomolskaya Pravda, the match took place on Sunday at the Volzhsky Bereg Sports and Sports Complex in the city of Kstovo. The defender fell unconscious in the 13th minute of the game. Doctors appeared on the ice, Konstantin Moruga was given a heart massage, but the man could not be saved.
