Named the alleged cause of death of the Russian hockey player Moruga
The cause of death of 48-year-old player of the Nizhny Novgorod hockey club “Harmony” Konstantin Morugi, who died on the ice during the Sunday match of the amateur hockey league in the Nizhny Novgorod region, was allegedly a detached blood clot, club president Alexei Alyaev said.
– Kostya did not complain about his health. I didn’t drink before the games, I came to this game behind the wheel, and the day before I played hockey for another team. Konstantin was sociable and cheerful, participated in the life of the team not only on the ice, but also beyond. In the Harmony team, he played for almost 10 years. The team is in shock, it’s always unpleasant to lose a friend like that unexpectedly,” Gazeta.ru quoted a representative of the Gazeta.Ru club as saying.
Alyaev added that Moruga did not have a wife or children. The player has a mother who is already supported by the club.
Earlier it was reported that the match was held on Sunday at the Volzhsky Bereg sports complex in the city of Kstovo. The defender fell unconscious in the 13th minute of the game. Medics appeared on the ice, Moruga was given a heart massage, but the man could not be saved.
