Japan – Ukraine. Announcement for the Ice Hockey World Championship match
The Ukraine national ice hockey team has played two games at the World Championship in Division 1B and continues to struggle for promotion.
After defeating Serbia, Vadim Shakhraychuk’s team lost to Poland, but the loss of skirmishes brought an extra point. Today Ukrainian hockey players will play against Japan, and in this match only one victory in regular time is needed. Poland played their third match of the tournament, beating Serbia 10:2.
Ukraine is in the lead with 4 points, Japan with 6 points and Poles with 8 points.
As for hockey quality, the national team had a poor start to the meeting with Poland, but gradually found its game and looked decidedly competitive. You can even mention bad luck somewhere: In the end, the rook frame saved the opponent twice. In addition, they did not get a few right chances in the majority, but this is a longstanding problem in Ukraine.
Let’s see what happens at the end of the tournament, but we have had some very unsuccessful results with Japan recently: the last two world championships have lost 2:3 and 1:7.
Of course, after a two-year hiatus, when the World Cup was not held in this division, these are already completely different teams, but the opponent still remains the favorite.
