CSKA won the Gagarin Cup for the second time in history

CSKA Moscow defeated Metallurg Magnitogorsk on the road in the seventh match of the Gagarin Cup final series and won the trophy.
The meeting ended with the score 4:1 in favor of the capital’s team.
CSKA forwards Pavel Karnaukhov (9th) and Alexander Popov (10th) scored goals within 57 seconds in the first period. Konstantin Okulov in the 37th minute brought the advantage of the Muscovites to three goals.
Metallurg’s Canadian forward Philippe Maillet narrowed the gap in the last second of the second 20 minutes by converting the majority. However, in the 57th minute, Vladislav Kamenev, scoring into an empty net, set the final score.
CSKA won the series 4-3 and won the Gagarin Cup.
Muscovites have already won the Gagarin Cup in 2019, and Metallurg in 2014 and 2016.
