In the NHL, they cut out the kiss of hockey players on ice. Bust even for America?

Serious passions unfolded during the players’ celebration of victory in one of the matches of the regular season.

What can you do in a fit of joy after an important goal or a winning match. So, apparently, the NHL hockey player decided and … kissed his goalkeeper right on the ice. The goalkeeper did not appreciate such a manifestation of feelings, and later this moment was shamefully cut out in the social networks of the league.

Is kissing brutal men really too much even for tolerant America?

Weird Kiss

The match “Boston” – “Buffalo” in the end of the regular season had no particular underlying reason. The Bruins confidently made it to the playoffs, where they will play with the Carolinas, and the Sabers have long lost their chance to fight for the Stanley Cup. As a result, “Boston” pleased the home stands with a convincing victory with a score of 5:0.

Goalkeeper Linus Ullmark hosts reflected all 37 shots on goal and received well-deserved congratulations from partners. There would be nothing unusual in this touching ceremony if it were not for the impulse of the attacking “bears” Nick Foligno.

The striker kissed the Swedish goalkeeper on the neck and seemed about to kiss his face, but Linus resisted and pushed his loving partner away. Foligno went to the bench with a satisfied smile. Having beaten off Nick’s attack, Ullmark threw himself into the arms of substitute goalkeeper Jeremy Swayman. The excellent relationship between goalkeepers is a source of special pride for Boston fans.

The social networks of the NHL could not pass by such a celebration, however, the video was published in an abbreviated version in the stories. The kiss scene was cut out neatly.

Fraternal contract

Nick Foligno is far from the only hockey player in the league, or even the only one in his family, to celebrate success on the ice in such an extravagant way. Last season, his younger brother Markus, who plays for Minnesota, kissed Norwegian teammate Mats Zukarello.

Nick, perhaps, learned such “skills” not only from his brother, but also from players in previous teams. Back in 2015, the forward became the “object” for a kiss, speaking for Columbus. On the team bench, right during the match with Dallas, he was kissed on the helmet by club partner Corey Schneider. Foligno was not at all upset by this fact. He even smiled back.

It is unlikely that the American public can be surprised by the kisses of men, even hockey players. However, the very fact of the disappearance of the episode with a kiss from the social networks of the NHL suggests that this is too much even for a tolerant America.

Coach of the Ukrainian national team: “Fans want to see us in the elite team. You still need experience”

Dmitry Khristich, the coach of the Ukraine national hockey team, made a 2025 prediction for the team. The main event was the World Championship in Division 1A, where the team only lost their chance to reach the elite league in the last match.

“I think the year has been positive. We won most of our matches. I also rate our performance in the World Championship positively. Many people probably wanted us to get into the elite league immediately, but I believe that we need to gain experience and confidence at this level. You have to believe in yourself and build on your experience by getting positive results against D1A teams and promotion teams that constantly jump from league to league.”

“We need to learn to play the full 60 minutes, to play against any opponent, to be tactically flexible… All these and many other nuances still need to be worked out,” Khristic said.
