At the end of the big game day in the NHL, Toronto unexpectedly lost to outsider Buffalo with a score of 3:9. Maple leader Auston Matthews scored his 26th goal of the season, but the Blades responded with Jeff Skinner scoring a double and making three points.

Tampa Bay beat current Stanley Cup champion Vegas 5:4. The Lightning sit just 5th in the Atlantic Division, and the Knights have lost the fourth of their last five games, allowing Vancouver to catch up with them in the race for the lead in the West.

Opponents can’t stop Colorado forward Nathan MacKinnon. The player scored 4 goals and 5 points in the match against Ottawa and increased his winning streak to 17 with this point.

The leading striker took second place in the scoring race with 53 points.
