NHL. 13 goals for Philadelphia and Detroit, defeats for Boston and Rangers
The most productive game of the NHL game day was played between Detroit and Philadelphia. The Red Wings won 7:6 at home in the penalty shootout, with the home team scoring 5 goals in the first period alone. Detroit’s new player, Patrick Kane, continues to make a difference by scoring, as well as making three points and decisive penalty kicks.
The two leaders of the East were defeated by Canadian teams. The New York Rangers lost 3-4 to Edmonton and scored four goals in the third period. The match was marked by New York forward Mika Zibanejad’s incredible assist.
And Boston lost 1:5 away to Winnipeg. The Jets had forward Gabriel Vilardi score in his fifth straight game and the team won 8 of its last 10 games to move into the top 3 in the West.
