NHL legend Wayne Gretzky named a hockey player who reminded him of him
Wayne Gretzky, the legendary hockey player, top scorer and sniper of the National Hockey League (NHL), chose the hockey player who is most similar to Wayne in terms of play.
“Jack Hughes of the New Jersey Devils reminds me of myself, first of all, in that he is faster than me and sees the ice incredibly well. He has reached a whole new level as a hockey player,” Gretzky said in a comment to Open Ice.
Let’s add that Hughes has been playing in the strongest league in the world since 2019 and was selected number one in the draft by the Devils. Over four seasons in the NHL, he played 256 games in the regular season and playoffs, scoring 218 points (93 goals plus 125 assists).

Pittsburgh defeated Chicago 7:3 and forward Justin Brazeau scored his first hat trick of his NHL career. That’s right, the Penguins are second to last in the standings.

The third day of competitions at the Junior World Hockey Championship held in the USA has ended.
After defeating Denmark with a score of 6:2, the Finnish team also defeated Latvia with a score of 8:0. The Latvian team, which was only defeated by Canada in extra time, did not have the strength to cope with another strong opponent.
The Finnish team outscored its opponent with 41:7 (an anti-record at the World Championships – six shots per game).
Finnish hockey players lead the group with 6 points, while Latvia is in second place with one point.
