The Florida Panthers beat the Washington Capitals 5-1 in Game 2 of the Stanley Cup First Round Playoff Series.
The winners included Aaron Ekblad, Alexander Barkov, Mason Marchment, Anton Lundell and Carter Verage. The winners’ goalkeeper Sergei Bobrovsky saved 26 shots.
Niklas Backstrom scored at the capital’s club. Alexander Ovechkin scored an assist. Goalkeeper Ilya Samsonov appeared on the ice during the match and saved 17 shots.
The score in the series became equal – 1-1. The third match of the confrontation is scheduled for May 7.
