“It’s strange to hear the statements of Rubin football player Bezrukov even in the form of a joke” – KHL Vice President Kamensky

The statements of Rubin football player Ruslan Bezrukov are surprising; it’s strange to hear something like this from a professional athlete, Valery Kamensky, a member of the FHR board and vice president of the KHL for development, told Match TV.

On Wednesday, Rubin beat Zenit in the match of the rescheduled 21st round of the RPL with a score of 2:0. The gap between Krasnodar and the leading St. Petersburg club in the RPL is now one point. After the game, Bezrukov said on Match TV the phrase: “Krasnodar, we are waiting for money on the card.”

— Any sport, be it football or hockey, is, first of all, a desire to win and a commitment to the principles of fair play. Therefore, it is quite strange to hear such statements from a professional athlete who must enter the field with honor in order to win, even in the format of a joke. For hockey people in general, such a joke is difficult to understand – not our topic. In our hockey, what is most valued is the spirit of camaraderie, not profit, the team in the full sense of the word. If you need to stand up for a partner, everyone is ready to become a “tough guy” for a couple of minutes,” Kamensky told Match TV.

Live broadcasts of MIR RPL matches can be watched on the Match TV and MATCH PREMIER TV channels, as well as on the websites matchtv.ru and sportbox.ru.
