Pavel Desyatkov has been appointed to the post of head coach of Vityaz, according to the website of the Moscow region hockey club.

It is noted that a contract was signed with the 49-year-old specialist for the 2024/25 season. In April, Lada general director Alexander Chebotarev told Match TV that Desyatkov, who held the position of assistant to head coach Oleg Bratash, received an offer from Vityaz.

Previously, Desyatkov coached Krasnoyarsk Sokol from the VHL; under his leadership, the team reached the final of the Petrov Cup in the 2022/23 season.

Last season, Vityaz took last place in the Western Conference standings and did not qualify for the KHL playoffs. In March, Dmitry Ryabykin left the post of head coach of the team.
