Dynamo Moscow forward Artem Mikheev said that of all the foreign players in the Continental Hockey League (KHL), he remembers Canadian Justin Azevedo the most.
36-year-old Azevedo played in the KHL for Lev Prague and Ak Bars Kazan, with which he won the Gagarin Cup (2018). In total, he played 490 matches in the league and scored 361 (134+227) points.
— Azevedo is a true professional. He played well both in attack and defense, and was also good in wrestling. This is a very strong hockey player. I also remember Kenny Agostino, who very quickly mastered Russian words. In general, all the guys were cool,” Metaratings.ru quotes Mikheev.
In the offseason, 28-year-old Mikheev signed a two-year contract with Dynamo. Last season, the native of Kazan played for Siberia, for which he played all 68 matches in the regular season and scored 19 (13+6) points.
