The Czech national team became the first finalist of the World Hockey Championship

The Czech national team reached the final of the home world hockey championship, beating the Swedish team (7:3).
In the first period, the Swedes took the lead twice thanks to goals from Marcus Johansson and Marcus Pettersson, but the Czechs fought back both times with the efforts of Dominik Kubalik and David Kampf.
In the second period, the Czech team scored three goals within three minutes – the goals were scored by Ondrej Kaše, Martin Necas and Kubalik, who scored a double.
Then Joel Eriksson Ek scored against the Swedes, to which the tournament hosts responded with a brace from ex-Chelyabinsk Traktor striker Lukas Sedlak. Another goal by Sedlak into an empty net was disallowed after a video review.
The Czech Republic became the first finalist of the championship, Sweden will play in the bronze medal match. Canada and Switzerland will also meet in the semifinals later on Saturday. Watch this game from 19:15 (Moscow time) live on Match TV, as well as on the websites matchtv.ru and sportbox.ru.
