Salavat Yulaev forward Vladislav Efremov answered the question which coach had the greatest influence on him.
— Any Dynamo coach you would like to mention? Who gave you the most?
— I would like to mention everyone, but in principle there were not many coaches. I would also like to mention Sergei Yuryevich Oreshkin for taking me to the youth team and giving me a lot. Anatoly Aleksandrovich Antipov gave me a lot, may he rest in heaven. He gave me confidence and helped me psychologically. Thanks to him for this. I would mention everyone in the KHL: Vorobyov, Krikunov, Kudashov. But Krikunov gave the most. With him it turned out to be longer – I worked for almost three years. I hardened myself with these cylinders, the scary “towns”. And in the game, when he always cursed and said something, it strengthened his character.
— What is the toughest thing you remember from working with cylinders? Now Razin is light, but uses them. Is there a need for cylinders now, and what is the effect of this?
— I talked to more than one training specialist. Everyone said the cylinders were a good thing. They add power and endurance. You just need a certain amount. And the tasks with cylinders should be a little different. It happened with Vladimir Vasilyevich that there were already three of us sitting on the balloon, and you had to drag one straight line from front to front. It was murder, let’s put it that way. As far as I remember, I couldn’t even drive the whole straight line. I stopped somewhere there and somehow crawled. Of course, we also showed a little trick, we could stand up somewhere and put washers under the spray can. Vladimir Vasilyevich knew all this. Everyone before us has already done this.
– Maybe he wanted to test your character by giving such a crazy load?
“He said that the purpose of the cylinders is a test of character, so that in difficult moments we will add more. There is some truth to this,” Efremov told Metaratings.ru.
In the season ended, Efremov played 66 matches in the KHL regular season and scored 23 (7+16) points; in the playoffs, the forward played 6 matches and made one assist.

New York Islanders defeated Chicago 3:2 in the NHL regular season match, and Matthew Schaefer, the first overall pick of the 2025 draft, scored a point and broke the League record.
Schaefer became the youngest defenseman in NHL history to reach 25 points. It took the player 40 matches to achieve this; this was the fourth fastest time among defensemen in history.
The Islanders remain in the top 4 in the East.
Champion Florida ends the year with a loss. The Panthers lost to Montreal 2:3 in overtime, but they were two goals ahead at the time of the game. Montreal is in second place in the rankings and Florida is in 4th place.
Toronto is trying to emerge from the crisis. Maple defeated New Jersey 4-0 but still sits in 6th place in the league.

Junior World Hockey Championship. The first participant in the fight for survival has been announced
The matches on the fourth day of the U-20 World Junior Hockey Championship have started.
In a brutal match, Switzerland beat Germany 4-0, sending their opponents into a survival game that will pit the Germans against the last team in Group B.
Germany finished without points and advanced to the knockout stages along with Switzerland, Sweden, the USA and Slovakia, although their final group positions will be determined by subsequent matches.
