Former head coach of the Russian national team Vladimir Plyushchev called the chances of Florida and Edmonton equal in the decisive match of the Stanley Cup final series.

After defeating Denmark with a score of 6:2, the Finnish team also defeated Latvia with a score of 8:0. The Latvian team, which was only defeated by Canada in extra time, did not have the strength to cope with another strong opponent.
