“Gusev can play in the NHL, he has tremendous skill” – Shchitov
Former hockey player for several KHL teams Nikita Shchitov believes that Russian forward Nikita Gusev could play in the NHL.
Gusev was named the most valuable player of the regular season at the end of the 2023/24 season. The forward scored 89 points (23 goals and 66 assists) in 68 regular season games for Dynamo Moscow. Olympic champion Gusev played in the NHL for the New Jersey Devils and Florida Panthers.
— I think Gusev can play in the NHL. Everything depends on what coach Nikita gets and what partners he has. Gusev has colossal skill. If the team, coach and partners are favorable for him, then it makes sense to leave. It’s great to play with the strongest hockey players in the world. I want Gusev to succeed in the NHL.
