Goalkeeper Prosvetov told what was decisive in his transfer from Colorado to CSKA
CSKA hockey player Ivan Prosvetov told what played a decisive role in his transfer to the Moscow club.
In August, the 25-year-old goalie, who played in the NHL for the Colorado Avalanche, signed a three-year contract with CSKA.
— Tell us how long you thought about the army team’s offer, what played a decisive role in the transition?
— Ilya Petrovich (Vorobyov, head coach) called and said that he had signed a contract with CSKA and would like to see me on the team, that the army men were counting on me. I immediately said: “Let’s work towards signing a contract.” In the end, we agreed, the conditions were excellent. I like to play a lot, that attracted me. I didn’t think long, we agreed literally in two or three days.
— Is a three-year contract the best solution?
“Yes, it’s stability. Again, in Moscow, close to home, all this played a role. It was easy to make a decision,” Prosvetov is quoted as saying by “Championship”.
The new season of the FONBET KHL championship starts on September 3.
