Abramov’s hat-trick gives CSKA victory over Sibir in KHL match

Moscow CSKA defeated Novosibirsk Sibir in a home match of the FONBET KHL Championship.

The army team won with a score of 8:2 (1:0, 1:1, 6:1). Vitaly Abramov scored a hat-trick for the red-blues, while Denis Guryanov, Vladislav Kamenev, Prokhor Poltapov, Vladislav Provolnev and Ruslan Iskhakov scored a goal each. Sergei Shirokov and Egor Martynov scored for Sibir.

CSKA is third in the Western Conference with 4 points. Sibir is the only team that has not scored any points at the start of the season, the Novosibirsk team is 12th in the East.

In the next match, CSKA will play Torpedo at home on September 12. Sibir will play Severstal away on the same day.

Another match day has started in the elite league of the U-20 World Junior Hockey Championship.

The Swedish team, one of the favorites, beat Germany with a score of 8:1. This was the team’s third victory after matches against Slovakia and Switzerland.

Swedish leaders Frondell and Björk scored a double each.

Sweden is leading the group with 9 points.

The German team is still scoreless and in last place in the group.

Detroit beat Toronto 3:2 in overtime in an NHL regular season match. The Wings came back twice and won thanks to a goal from young defenseman Simon Edvinsson.

The third day of competitions at the Junior World Hockey Championship held in the USA has ended.

After defeating Denmark with a score of 6:2, the Finnish team also defeated Latvia with a score of 8:0. The Latvian team, which was only defeated by Canada in extra time, did not have the strength to cope with another strong opponent.

The Finnish team outscored its opponent with 41:7 (an anti-record at the World Championships – six shots per game).

Finnish hockey players lead the group with 6 points, while Latvia is in second place with one point.
