Washington defeated Florida in the third game of the series of the first round of the NHL playoffs.
The meeting ended with a score of 6:1 in favor of the Capitals. The hosts responded to Jonathan Huberdeau’s puck with accurate shots from T.J. Oshi, Markus Johansson, Trevor van Rimsdyk, Alexander Ovechkin, John Carlson and Garnet Hathaway.
In addition to the abandoned puck, which became Ovechkin’s first in the current Stanley Cup draw, the Russian also scored an assist and 6 power moves.
