The Pittsburgh Penguins beat the New York Rangers on home ice in Game 3 of the first round of the Stanley Cup playoffs, 7-4.
Double winners were Jeff Carter and Evan Rodriguez. Brock McGinn, Danton Heinen and Jake Günzel each scored more. Evgeni Malkin did not score with effective actions.
The guests scored Kaapo Kakko, Frank Vatrano, Artemiy Panarin and Andrew Kopp. Igor Shesterkin missed four goals in the first period and lost his place on the ice to Alexander Georgiev, who saved 19 shots.
Pittsburgh took a 2-1 lead in the series. The fourth match of the confrontation is scheduled for May 10.
