Cherepovets Severstal defeated Dynamo Minsk in the home match of the FONBET KHL Championship.

The meeting ended with a score of 5:2. Andrei Churkin scored a double for the winners; Danil Aimurzin, David Dumbadze and Nikita Korostelev also scored a puck. Vadim Moroz and Daniil Sotishvili scored for the guests.

The third day of competitions at the Junior World Hockey Championship held in the USA has ended.

After defeating Denmark with a score of 6:2, the Finnish team also defeated Latvia with a score of 8:0. The Latvian team, which was only defeated by Canada in extra time, did not have the strength to cope with another strong opponent.

The Finnish team outscored its opponent with 41:7 (an anti-record at the World Championships – six shots per game).

The third day of matches in the elite league of the U-20 World Youth Hockey Championship has started.

The Swedish team, which started the tournament with a difficult victory against Slovakia, defeated the Swiss team with a score of 3-2 today. And again there were difficulties for one of the favorites.

The NHL returned after the Christmas break and several derbies took place on the first day of play.

New York Islanders beat the Rangers with a score of 2:0 on their home ice, extending their streak to five and taking second place in their league behind Carolina.

Another battle between neighbors Florida and Tampa Bay ended 4:2 in favor of the Lightning. Both teams in the Atlantic Group are in the top 4.
