Ak Bars defender Nikita Lyamkin called Vadim Shipachev, who became the best scorer in the history of the KHL, a legend of Russian hockey.

On Tuesday, in the FONBET KHL Championship match against Severstal Cherepovets (2:5), forward Shipachev scored an assist and scored the 929th (291+638) point in the league, including the playoffs. In terms of scoring in the KHL, 37-year-old Shipachev surpassed former Metallurg forward Sergei Mozyakin, who has 928 (419+509) points.

— Shipachev broke Mozyakin’s record in Cherepovets.

– This is very symbolic. I’m very happy for Vadim.

– What kind of hockey player is he?

— This is the lump of our hockey, a living legend. May God give him more. It’s a pity that we didn’t celebrate this on the same team. We walked together with him to this figure. But our paths, unfortunately, diverged.

-Are you going to congratulate?

“A little later, now everyone is writing to him,” Lyamkin told Metaratings.ru.
