Russian Washington forward Alexander Ovechkin repeated the achievement of Czech striker Jaromir Jagr.

The player scored one goal in the NHL match against Carolina (2:4). Ovechkin has scored goals in four games in a row. The forward became the first NHL hockey player in 12 years to do this at the age of 39 or older.

The last time Jagr managed this was in the 2012/13 season.

Ovechkin is 39 years old and with 860 goals, he ranks second on the list of all-time leading scorers in NHL history, behind only Wayne Gretzky (894). This season, the Russian striker scored 14 points (7+7) in 11 matches.
