Three-time world hockey champion Alexei Tereshchenko expressed hope that forward Alexander Khokhlachev will be able to reboot his career in Sochi.

On Friday, the 31-year-old hockey player terminated his contract with Khabarovsk Amur by agreement of the parties. On Monday, Sochi announced Khokhlachev’s transfer. According to Match TV, the size of the player’s contract was reduced from 75 million rubles per season to 20 million rubles until the end of the season.

— I would like Alexander to reboot his career. And how well he can cope with this depends only on him and on how he fulfills the requirements of the coaching staff. You need to understand how ready Khokhlachev is now, and then time will tell. In any case, it’s great that he managed to find a job,” RB Sport quotes Tereshchenko as saying.

This season, Khokhlachev scored 3 points (1+2) in 21 regular season matches.
