Dynamo Moscow stated that they do not plan to exchange Rashevsky to another club
Sports director and general manager of Dynamo Moscow Alexey Sopin said that the club does not plan to seek a trade for striker Dmitry Rashevsky.
This season, the 24-year-old forward played 26 matches in the FONBET KHL Championship and scored 10 (5+5) points with a utility indicator of “+4”.
— During the Ural-Siberian tour, Dmitry Rashevsky, for the first time in his adult career, was not included in the Dynamo squad for three matches in a row. We are not used to seeing such a picture. Was this a message to the player?
— The coaching staff talks to him constantly. This was not a message, but simply drawing his attention to those moments that he must perform on the ice. First of all, we are talking about playing defensively. As you remember, we tried a combination in which he played with Mikheev and Comtois. This is our internal kitchen, but there were certain complaints, and the question arose – who needs to be changed here.
Because of the situations with O’Dell and Slepyshev, our second link, which we initially counted on in the summer, actually collapsed. The coaches thought and thought and eventually decided to try a combination where Shvets-Rogovoy replaced Rashevsky. It was not planned that this would be some kind of protracted action. But they played well and the team won. We played well again and won again. And so it happened that Dima lost his place in the lineup. This is a continuation of the same conversation about goalkeepers. One came out and played well, the other got ready and waited.
— That is, there is no preparation for the exchange, which is what the fans immediately began to worry about?
– No. It’s hard to find a hockey player who scores 30 goals per season,” Sopin was quoted as saying by “Championship.”
