For Ovechkin, that goal was the 811th in his career and the 447th in away games. In this indicator, he caught up with Wayne Gretzky, whose great record for the total number of goals Alexander continues to chase to this day. Now Ovechkin already has 868 goals in the NHL – only 26 goals remain before the seemingly eternal achievement of the legendary Canadian. Junior World Hockey Championship. Great comeback from the USA, 9 goals and hat-trick from Canada
Another day of play in the elite league of the World Junior Hockey Championship has ended.
The USA team beat Slovakia with a score of 6:5, with big problems. The host team of the tournament lost 0:2 and 1:3 but managed to come back and win.
Forward Tomas Hrenko scored a double for the Slovaks, scoring three goals in the last match. And the Americans have a double thank you to James Hagens.
USA and Sweden are leaders in the group with 9 points.
