A terrible incident occurred in the KHL! In the last match between the Vanguard and Salavat Yulaev (2: 4), held on January 29 in Omsk, the captain of the Ufa team Grigory Panin received severe injury, after which he was urgently taken to intensive care.

What happened

Throughout the game, Panin, as always, was in the thick of events. However, in one of the episodes of the first period, he harshly collided with the attacking of the Vanguard Giovanni Fior. At first glance, the moment could seem like an ordinary game episode, but the consequences were much more serious. Doctors diagnosed Panin with a fracture of ribs, which required immediate hospitalization.

In the match against the Vanguard, Panin spent only three shifts on the ice, playing in total a little more than two minutes. This season, the defender of Salavat Yulaev took part in 48 matches, gaining 7 (2+5) points.
