The scandalous goal of the year in the NHL. The judge in the fall made a burning program

Fans are furious from the arbiter act in the key episode of the match.

Judicial actions often solve the outcome of matches, however, in the vast majority of cases, this is due to their direct responsibilities. But in the game between Toronto and Colorado, the referee literally helped one of the teams achieve the most important victory.

“It’s nice to be on the right side”

The confrontation between Toronto and Colorado as part of the NHL regular championship was of great importance for both groups that are now fighting for high places in their conferences. The meeting on the homemade ice of “maple leaves” was fully consistent with the high status. Two periods went in an equal struggle, which was reflected on the scoreboard – 1: 1. Each goal could be the last.

At the beginning of the third period, Evelansh earned the next majority, Canadians were punished for violation of the numerical composition. Having at the disposal of McKinnon and Nichushkin, the “avalanches” began to besiege the gates of the hosts. Toronto hockey players were forced to discard. So Stephen Lorenz wanted to take his breath. He threw the puck from the zone to make a shift.

But everything did not go according to the script of the Canadian striker. The puck hit the judge of Kelly Suserland, who, trying to dodge, fell comically near the distant blue line. Seeing such a development of events, Lorenz changed his plans.

– I did not immediately understand what happened to the referee. I wanted to achieve a shift, but then I saw that he had fallen and the puck stopped. I realized that I could score. The rebounds happen. It was a failure for the rivals, but it’s nice to be on the right side, ”the NHL official website quoted Lorentz.

In this case, touching the puck, in this case, did not lead to a stop, since the rules were not violated. Stephen immediately rushed to the puck and ahead of everyone. Entering the rivals zone, he threw from the left circle of throwing and was accurate. As a result, this goal brought the “maple leaves” a victory with a score of 2: 1.

“Suserland put on the Lifs T -shirt”

After such a development of events, fans of the Colorado were furious. On social networks, they scolded the arbitrator, accusing the poor fellow of helping the Canadian team and competing in the seniority of comments.

– Do judges receive assists? – Asks WalkerPatten.

“I saw that Suserland put on the Lifs T -shirt under the referee’s shape,” wrote Itsshelbymaxwell.

“The judge had as many glasses as McKinnon had,” the arbitrator compared to the leader of the Colorado attacks Themcventures.

“The first star of the match goes to Kelly Saserland,” Jack_wheeler22 is ironic.

-This is some kind of nonsense. I hope that Lorenz gave Suserland something pleasant for this program,-wrote Justy505.

“The judge changed the game and must be deleted due to the intervention,” Kyle__gill issued the verdict.

The Lorenz goal is already called the most scandalous in the season, and the fallen judge is accused of unprofessionalism and retired. The indignation of the fans can be understood, because the fall of the arbitrator changed the course of the game and led to the capture of the gate, which would not have happened without it. However, the goal is nevertheless counted by all the rules, since the goal of the puck in the referee is not a reason for stopping the game.
