Rudkovskaya: “I hope that thanks to Ovechkin we will be allowed to the Olympics, and Alexander will become a champion of games”

The producer, general director and co -owner of the Angels Plushenko Academy, Yana Rudkovskaya, in a conversation with Match TV, expressed the hope that thanks to the Washington Capitals hockey player, Alexander Ovechkin, Russian athletes will be allowed to the Olympic Games, and the national team with the striker will become the champion.

On Sunday, Ovechkin in the NHL guest match against Ilanders (1: 4) abandoned the record 895th goal in regular championships and exceeded the achievement of Wayne Gretzka (894). Taking into account the playoffs, the Russian has 967 goals in the NHL, according to this indicator it goes the second after the Canadian (1016).

– I really hope that thanks to Ovechkin we will be allowed to the Olympic Games. Sasha had a dream to become an Olympic champion. He is the world champion, but did not become a champion of games. I would like him to become an Olympic champion that he has a whole big helmet, because he deserves and worthy.

He is undoubtedly the leader of world sports. Only words of gratitude and pride. Because the whole world was leaning for him, for a Russian guy. Someone well said that all political stories are erased, and everyone is rooting for Ovechkin, they are rooting for Russian. How much sport can work miracles. It doesn’t care what kind of nationality Ovechkin is Ovechkin. He is Russian. It is very important for me that all political boundaries are erased when Sasha plays. The whole world is rooting for Ovechkin. For a Russian athlete, ”said Rudkovskaya“ Match TV ”.

Winter Olympic Games will be held in Milan and Cortina -d’Ampezzo from February 6 to 22, 2026. The International Hockey Federation on ice in February after a meeting of the Council, long discussion and consideration of security issues decided to prevent the Russian hockey team in the world championships, which will be held in 2026 under the auspices of the organization. At the same time, there are currently no decisions on the participation of the Russian hockey team in the 2026 Olympics.
