“He is not a man, but something else.” In America, they demand to erect a monument to Ovechkin
Alexander the Great has 2+1 in the first match of the NHL playoffs.
The double at the goal of Montreal, Alexander Ovechkin, again reminded everyone why his name is a synonym for legends. In the first match of the Stanley Cup of the first round of the Washington Cup, not only became the main star of the meeting, but also scored a winning puck in overtime – for the first time in a long career in the NHL. This goal was for the 39-year-old Russian 74th in the playoffs, thanks to which he caught up with Joe Pavelski and climbed 13th place in the history of the league in this indicator. Among the existing players of the League Ovechkin, he confidently holds the lead in abandoned goals in cup matches.
In 16 minutes and 45 seconds on ice, Ovechkin realized two shots of four, distributed seven power tricks and completed the match with the usefulness of “+2”. His puck in the 63rd minute, abandoned from Piglet, became the culmination of a tense struggle and brought Capitals to win with a score of 3: 2 in overtime. After the game, Alexander himself appreciated the moment with restraint.
– A goal is a goal. It doesn’t matter in the playoffs who scores. Especially in overtime. Strum played perfectly on the throwing. Then there was a struggle, Bovilier took the first throw, and then tried to find me. When you go to the gate, a good moment may arise, ”Ovechkina quotes The Score.
But for the fans – especially those who follow the career of Ovi from the first day – it was not just a goal, but a historical moment.
The reaction of fans to Ovechkin’s double in the goal of “Montreal”
“Ovechkin is the legend of the present,” said the fan with the nickname @humble_reminder.
“This guy is an absolute car,” wrote @Iamoc21.
– Ovechkin is not a man, he is something else. Two goals, one assist, seven hits. Capitals won the first game. He is just damn talented, ”said @superstinks.
– This man was created in the laboratory. Now 46 goals in 66 games this year. A broken leg is not a problem. And he drinks Cola. The status of the best player for all the time, – wrote the fan @corycar86320585.
“To go crazy about how much public opinion has changed about Ovi over the years … He has gone from a hateful to everyone in the hockey world of a person,” said @Artieschweitzer.
– What a night for a Russian car! It is hard to believe that this is his first goal in overtime in the playoffs. There will be no better time than now, I think, ”wrote @eqcosmo.
“Ovi aimed at the playoffs record to be equal to Gretzky,” said @depressiveHacks.
– We know the script. OVI has a historical postseson, he wins the cup in the year, when he beats the record for the number of goals, and then retires, – the fan with the nickname @deadnetnews believes.
– Ovechkin is irresistible! – wrote @w_brown21.
“The fact that the 39-year-old Ovechkin moves his feet better than the 21-year-old Slavfkovsky is very indicative,” said @Alexrolex93.
“He is better than Gretzky,” wrote @cryptolowski.
– Ovechkin = hero of overtime. Put him a statue right now, ”said @scott7news.
“45 goals to catch up with the Gretzki record (regular season + playoffs),” said @ulaks2012.
-39-year-old Alex Ovechkin still scores important goals in the playoffs, while destroying his opponent with forceful techniques that seem like a train had just crashed into you. At the moment, it’s just funny – with such a signature @capstrav1s accompanied the video of the hit of Ovechkin on Cofild.
“You will never doubt how he loves this game!” – Wrote @Drunknpolllock97.
“The road to“ Conn Smite Trophy ”begins now,” says @Caden_MCLEARY.
– “Capitals” must be helped by Ovechkin. The play-off is all from scratch, ”says @elizadftw.
– A huge sigh of relief, but we cannot rely on Ovi. The other guys need to be activated, – believes @dillon_eldredge.
