Dirty provocation in Canada. The fan beat “Ovechkina” to the delight of the crowd
A disgusting action caused condemnation even within the country.
The voltage in the Stanley Cup play-off series between Washington and Montreal is becoming more and more. Moreover, the confrontation occurs not only on ice, but also beyond.
Montreal fans sank to a provocation against Alexander Ovechkin himself.
Ovechkin provocation
The first two meetings were held in the capital of the United States, and it was a real Hockey holiday. The games turned out to be interesting and spectacular, and Alexander Ovechkin pleased the fans with another portion of heads.
The third game took place in Montreal. This time, even the goal of the Russian captain did not save Kapitals from defeat with a score of 3: 6. During the match, the rivals often showed emotions, and a mass fight became the apogee of tension, in which even players on spare benches clashed.
The fact that the game would be nervous could be guessed by the behavior of Montreal fans before the match. Apparently, the four-year absence of the team in the playoffs negatively affected the adequacy of fans.
Commentator Eric Sollenberger posted a resonant video on social networks. It shows how a fan beats a mannequin in Jersey Ovechkin. First, the man in the sweater of the Montreal tumbled down the simulator, and then began to kick his feet under the enthusiastic cries of the crowd. In the final of the video, inadequate saddled the mannequin and began to beat him with his hands in the style of MMA fighters.
“Typical fan”
The disgusting behavior of fans against the backdrop of the general celebration of Alexander the Great’s record caused a serious resonance in social networks. Even Canadians condemned the behavior of fierce fans.
“I don’t think I saw a more awkward case,” wrote @ @CelticsDiehard_.
“This behavior is unusual for Canada,” said @laxdefensecoach.
“How low, bad taste,” @seguin00 was indignant.
– A typical fan “Habs” – made a conclusion @ttruth69.
Montreal fans are not the first time noticed in such situations. In 2021, a wave of riots swept throughout the city when the team suddenly reached the Stanley Cup final. The streets of the largest city in the province of Quebec then resembled the battlefield: broken windows, overturned urns and fences, rumpled cars. The most heated police fans had to be dispersed with tear gas.
At the same time, it is more difficult to find fans who love their team stronger than fans of Canadiens in the league. For example, the games of Ivan Demidov in KHL were watching a huge crowd of Montreal lovers of hockey, although at that time he did not play a single game for Hubs. And the flight of a 19-year-old striker in Canada became the most tracked on a specialized portal.
Washington has at least another game in Canada ahead. Ovechkin and the company need to be prepared for everything. But for Capitals, it is better to win and end the series in the United States so as not to return to Montreal.
