Trenin is the 4th NHL player in 26 years to score multiple goals in a Stanley Cup game, after which his team left the draw

Nashville’s Russian forward Yakov Trenin scored two goals in Game 4 of the Stanley Cup first-round series against Colorado (3-5) and became the fourth NHL player in the last 26 years to score several goals in a playoff game, after which his team left the draw.
Earlier goals in similar matches were marked by Matt Cook (Vancouver, 7th game, 2004), Scott Hartnell (Philadelphia, 6th game, 2010) and Yoel Kiviranta (Dallas, 7th game, 2020) .
Trenin also became the third star of the match against Colorado.
Colorado defender Kyle Makar was recognized as the first star: 3 (1 + 2) points. Second – Avalanche forward Andre Burakowski: 3 (1+2) points.
Colorado beat Nashville 4-0 in the series.
