– Mike Sullivan has established himself as one of the best main coaches in the NHL. Given his many achievements in the entire coaching career, including two Stanley Cups and the leadership of the US national team at the international level, I can say that Mike has experience at the Champions level. I recognized Mike very well over the years, including as a teammate at the 1997 World Cup, when he trained me as a player in New York, as well as thanks to our joint work in the national team. When we started this process and Mike became accessible to negotiations, it immediately became clear that he is the best coach for the leadership of our team, – quoted the president and general manager of the Rangers Chris Drury’s website of the NHL club.
