“Damn legend!” The most important goal of the Russian in the NHL delighted the Americans

The goal of the Russian hockey player in the decisive match of the series turned out to be victorious. Simply handsome!

Colorado became the first team in the NHL to earn a ticket to the quarterfinals of the Stanley Cup. The Aves crushed Nashville in four games before turning the series around.

The most important role in the fourth meeting was played by Valery Nichushkin. It was the Russian striker who scored the winning puck at the Predators gate – and delighted American fans.

In social networks, the branded chant of overseas stands to the Russians is now echoing: “Chu-choo-choo!”.

“The main workaholic in the world”

Until recently, Valery Nichushkin did not differ in the playoffs with special performance. The 27-year-old striker became hot only by the third match of the series, where his goal, however, did not decide anything. Then the Russian completed the defeat of Nashville, scoring the seventh goal of his team: 7:3.

After the meeting in Colorado, the confrontation entered its final phase. In the home game, the Predators had to turn the tide of the series at any cost – and at some point the team was even close to the desired result. In the 44th minute, Nashville took the lead for the first time in four games: Philip Forsberg’s goal brought the Predators forward (3:2).

However, the Predators failed to keep the advantage. Within five minutes, Evs equalized the score, and then again took the lead.

The winning puck at the same time was on the account of the Russian forward. Cale Makar cut a brilliant pass to Nichushkin, and Valery closed the pass into the near corner with an accurate throw, taking the goalkeeper by surprise. The stands of the Bridgestone Arena instantly exploded, and with it the social networks: “Choo-choo-choo!”.

American fans are delighted with Val’s game – and now they are waiting for extravaganzas from him in the quarterfinals. Moreover, the fans were impressed not so much by the goal against Nashville as by the hockey player’s devotion to the team in general:

– Excellent work, Nichushkin!

– Please tell Valery that I love him endlessly.

Val is the biggest workaholic in the world.

— Valery, you are a damn legend!

– Nichushkin returns Evs to the top in just eight minutes on the court.

– Find me another Russian hockey player who would work in defense as well as Nichushkin. This guy is just an incredible hard worker.

As a result of the match, Colorado defeated Nashville with a score of 5: 3 – and went through the first series of the playoffs without defeat (4-0). In the quarterfinals, Nichushkin’s team will meet the strongest in the confrontation between Minnesota and St. Louis.
