Florida quickly returned the advantage to two goals. At the 24th minute, Panthers caught an opponent on a counterattack, which, from the transfer of Nico Mikkola, was completed by Anthony-John Grire-3: 1. Carolina desperately tried to equalize, but each time Bobrovsky helped out guests. The Russian executed excellent fish in the middle of the period: Taylor Hall knocked out a club from the goalkeeper from his hands, and after a few seconds, Sergei coped with a slaughter from a slaughter position without his working tool.
Soon, Hurricanes earned a majority, but again without goals. However, Panthers did not turn off the instinct of the killer and at the end of the game segment, Tomash Noseck brought the puck to the nickle up from the gate, and this lioostarinen shot an empty corner from close range.
In the 57th minute, Jackson Blake realized the superfluous and reduced the lag-2: 5, but there was not enough time for more Carolina. As a result, Florida won a convincing victory in the first match of the series.
