Bobrovsky placed Canadian provocateurs in place. In vain they angered a Russian

The goalkeeper of Florida remained only one victory before the won the Stanley Cup.

The Russian goalkeeper Sergei Bobrovsky was waiting for a difficult test in the fifth match of the final series of the NHL playoffs. But the experienced goalkeeper Panthers managed to gather after an offensive defeat two days earlier and repeated a steep record, simultaneously putting fans in place.

“Made important saves”

Fans of Florida on social networks poured a lot of dirt on Bobrovsky after the fourth game, completely forgetting about the merits of the goalkeeper. But ahead of Sergey was waiting for an equally difficult test. The fifth meeting took place in the home arena of Edmonton, where the fans in the stands from the very first game exerted psychological pressure. Raid fans chanted the name of the Russian, trying to provoke him for mistakes.

The next match in Canada was no exception. Almost immediately, the fans of “Oilers” were charged: “Sergey, Sergey.” The funny thing is that this produced the opposite effect. For two periods, the Russian goalkeeper refused to miss. Now the fans will think whether it is worth anger at the Russian and try to get him out of their temper.

– Sergey received a serious check in the first 10 minutes. The owners came out super -modeling. They quickly went into our zone. It was a couple of times when he made truly important saves, ”Paul Maurice appreciated the game of Bobrovsky, head coach of Florida.

Only in the 48th minute, the long-suffering Connor McDavid finally scored his first goal in this final series, however, by this time the guests were already waged with a score of 3-0. The double of Brad Marshan and Gol Sam Bennett allowed the Panthers to create a comfortable gap.

After that, the fans of Oylers had a timid hope for a repetition of the scenario of the fourth match of the series, which was held in Sanraise. Then Edmonton recouped with 0: 3, but this time it was not possible to organize a cumber. Sergei missed only once, and in the end acted extremely reliably. Panthers distinguished themselves twice and won with a score of 5: 2. The cherished trophy was left to win only once.

Repeated two records

Surprisingly, Florida in this playoffs plays much better on the road. Of the 15 wins in the Stanley Cup, ten were mined in guest meetings. The last time this happened in 2019, when St. Louis with the same indicators became the champion. Such a number of outbound victories is found, but no one else won, thereby the southerners repeated the NHL record.

After this game, there is something to boast of Sergey personally. The Russian also repeated the record for visiting victories in the playoffs among the goalkeepers. He stood on a par with Martin Brodo, Jordan Binnington, Jonathan Kuik and other famous goalkeepers who won ten times.

In theory, Bobrovsky has a chance to win the 11th guest victory, but probably neither the Florida fans nor the hockey player will want to tighten the final series to the seventh match and prefer to win the Stanley Cup in the home arena.
